What is Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode

During the checkout process you have noticed that there are two images where you enter your credit/debit card information.

This image basically means that when you enter a transaction, your transaction will be verified by VISA or MasterCard. We want to reduce the fraud and protect our customers from fraudesters. So, this is to add an extra layer security for your own safety. If a fraudester tries to use someone else's card, they will not succeed to place the transaction because Visa and MasterCard will verify that it is the cardowner or an authorized user who is purchasing the items.

Questions:

Why my transaction does not go through although I am trying to use my own card?

Some banks or credit card issuers require you to sign up for the verification service. It is FREE. It's just to protect you in a better way. The same way that chip technology is being implemented across the US in almost all stores now.
