• Tribulus terrestris — a low, spreading plant sometimes called puncture vine, whose fruit and root are dried for use in traditional preparations and turn up regularly in modern herbal formulas.
• Horny Goat Weed Extract — an extract of Epimedium, a shade-loving flowering plant native to China, Japan and Korea. Its leaves have been used in traditional Chinese herbal practice for centuries.
• Maca Root — a root vegetable farmed above 4,000 metres in the Peruvian Andes. It is eaten as an ordinary food crop in Peru and dried and milled into powder for supplement use.
• Panax ginseng — the root of a slow-growing woodland perennial cultivated mainly in Korea and north-eastern China, usually left in the ground several years before harvest. The NCCIH page on Asian ginseng covers the plant in general terms.
• BioPerine Complex — a trademarked black pepper (Piper nigrum) fruit extract standardised for its piperine content. Formulators commonly pair it with botanical ingredients in blends of this kind.
• Soy Isoflavone Complex — compounds drawn from soybeans that chemists group as phytoestrogens. Worth noting if soy is a concern for you: it is the one common allergen named on the panel.
• L-Tyrosin and L-Histidine — two amino acids. Tyrosine occurs in cheese, soy and nuts; histidine is an essential amino acid found in meat, fish, eggs and grains. The panel prints the first of the two as "L-Tyrosin", and it is reproduced that way in the table below.
• Choline — an essential nutrient found in eggs, liver, soybeans and some fish, used by the body in ordinary cell chemistry.
• Dimethylglycine — often shortened to DMG, a naturally occurring derivative of the amino acid glycine, present in small quantities in beans, liver and cereal grains.

How to use it

The directions printed on the card read: take up to one tablet at least 30 minutes before engaging in sexual activity, and do not take more than one tablet within two days. That two-day spacing is a ceiling set by the manufacturer, not a schedule to follow.

The card also says to store the product in a cool, dry place. It is a single-serving format, so there is nothing to reseal and nothing left over once the tablet is taken.
