What it is
BustMaxx is a women's herbal dietary supplement sold as a bottle of 60 vegetable capsules. The Supplement Facts panel sets the serving at two capsules and counts 30 servings in the bottle, so the full bottle works out to a 30-day supply at the label's suggested daily serving. Each serving supplies 1.6 grams of a single proprietary botanical blend built from nine named ingredients, eight of them plant or seaweed material and one a free amino acid.
The bottle is white with a magenta wrap, and the brand name is printed on the front above the count. It is filed in our range of supplements for women.
What's inside
Nine ingredients share one 1.6 g blend, which means the panel does not break out an individual milligram figure for any of them — that is how the manufacturer has chosen to disclose the formula, and we have transcribed it exactly as printed rather than dividing the total up. Here is what each one actually is.
- Saw Palmetto Extract 4:1 (Serenoa repens, fruit) — a low-growing fan palm native to the sandy coastal plains of the southeastern United States. The dark berries are the part harvested. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health publishes general background on saw palmetto as a plant.
- Fenugreek Seed Extract 4:1 (Trigonella foenum-graecum) — a legume whose hard amber seeds are an everyday cooking spice across South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Toasted, they carry a distinctive maple-like aroma.
- Motherwort Extract 5:1 (Leonurus cardiaca, whole herb) — a tall, spiky-leaved member of the mint family that has been grown in European herb gardens for centuries.
- Fennel Seed Extract 5:1 (Foeniculum vulgare) — the aromatic seed of a Mediterranean plant in the carrot family, with a licorice-like flavor familiar from Italian and Indian cooking.
- Wild Yam (Dioscorea opposita) — a climbing vine grown for its starchy tuber, which is an ordinary food crop in East Asia.
- Blessed Thistle (Cnicus benedictus, herb and aerial parts) — a bristly Mediterranean annual with pale yellow flowerheads, and one of the classic bitter herbs of the old European herbals.
- L-Tyrosine — the one non-botanical in the list. It is an amino acid, a protein building block that also occurs in everyday foods such as cheese, soy and nuts.
- Kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum, whole) — a brown seaweed harvested from cold North Atlantic shorelines. Seaweeds of this kind naturally contain iodine, which is worth knowing if you already take a supplement that supplies it.
- Dong Quai Root (Angelica sinensis), 1% ligustilide — the root of a plant in the celery family, long used in traditional Chinese preparations. The "1% ligustilide" is a standardization marker: the extract is measured against that compound so batches stay consistent.
The 4:1 and 5:1 figures beside four of the herbs are extract ratios. A 4:1 extract means four parts of raw dried herb were concentrated down to one part of finished extract. NIH's Office of Dietary Supplements has a plain-language primer on botanical dietary supplements and how they are prepared, and NCCIH keeps an index of individual herbs at a glance. Neither is connected to this product; both are simply useful background on the plants.
The three non-active ingredients are maltodextrin, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose and titanium dioxide. The hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is the capsule shell itself — a plant-derived cellulose, which is why the capsules are described on the bottle as vegetable capsules rather than gelatin ones.

How to use it
The label's directions are to take two capsules daily with a meal and a full glass of water. That is the whole of the printed dosing instruction — there is no separate loading serving, no timing window and no cycling schedule on the bottle.
The bottle prints no storage line of its own. As general practice with any capsule supplement, keep it closed somewhere cool and dry and out of direct sunlight. The cap is a standard screw closure.
Who it's for
This is a supplement for adults aged 18 and over, and it is formulated and marketed for women. A 60-capsule bottle covers 30 days at the label's serving, which makes it a month-at-a-time format rather than a bulk one.
It will not suit everyone. Anyone who avoids iodine-containing ingredients should note the kelp; anyone who reacts to fenugreek, a legume, should note that too. If you are pregnant or nursing, the bottle itself directs you to speak to a healthcare professional first. You will find other formats and categories in our women's range.
Good to know
The caution printed on the bottle reads: keep out of reach of children; if you are pregnant, nursing, taking prescription or over-the-counter medication, or have a medical condition, consult your physician or licensed healthcare professional before use.
- The bottle carries printed badges for all-natural ingredients, vegan safe, gluten free, non-GMO ingredients and kosher safe, plus BPA-free packaging.
- The label states the product is manufactured in the USA, in a facility it describes as GMP and NSF certified.
- The distributor line on the bottle reads: Vivid Health Nutrition, PO Box 222, Saylorsburg, PA 18353.
- No California Proposition 65 warning is printed anywhere on this packaging.
- Herbal ingredients can interact with prescription medicines. The FDA's questions and answers on dietary supplements is a good general starting point if you are weighing that up with your own doctor.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many capsules are in a bottle, and how many servings is that?
A bottle holds 60 vegetable capsules. The Supplement Facts panel counts that as 30 servings of two capsules each, so at the label's suggested two capsules daily the bottle is a 30-day supply.
Is BustMaxx suitable for vegans and for people avoiding gluten?
Yes on both counts, according to the printing on the bottle. It carries "vegan safe" and "gluten free" badges, the panel's free-from list names no gluten, wheat, yeast, egg, dairy, soy, lactose or shellfish, and the capsule shell is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose — a plant cellulose rather than animal gelatin.
What exactly is in the 1.6 g blend?
Nine ingredients share the single 1.6 g blend: saw palmetto, fenugreek seed, motherwort, fennel seed, wild yam, blessed thistle, L-tyrosine, kelp and dong quai root. Because they are disclosed as one proprietary blend, the panel gives no individual milligram figure for any of them, and we have not invented one.
Where is it made, and who distributes it?
It is made in the United States. The bottle prints a "manufactured in the USA" badge and describes the facility as GMP and NSF certified, and the distributor line reads Vivid Health Nutrition, PO Box 222, Saylorsburg, PA 18353.
How is the order packaged for delivery?
