- Cnidium and Monnier Extract — printed as two consecutive lines on the panel. The material comes from Cnidium monnieri, a white-flowered annual in the carrot family; the part collected is the small dried ripe fruit, catalogued in classical Chinese herbals under the name she chuang zi.
- Theobromine — an alkaloid of the cacao bean, and the reason the cacao tree carries the botanical name Theobroma. It belongs to the methylxanthine group alongside caffeine and theophylline, occurs naturally in dark chocolate, and is the compound that makes chocolate dangerous to dogs.
- Rhodiola — Rhodiola rosea, a stubby succulent of Arctic cliffs and high mountain scree in Scandinavia, Siberia and northern Asia. Cut the rhizome open and it smells faintly of roses, which is where both the species name and the old English name roseroot originate.
- Avena Sativa Extract — an extract of the ordinary oat plant, taken from the green tops while the seed is still soft and milky rather than from the dried grain used for porridge. Supplement labelling often calls this material wild oats.

Other ingredients: FD&C Red #40, titanium dioxide, cellulose, magnesium stearate, silica.
The five other ingredients do the mechanical work of making a capsule. FD&C Red #40 and titanium dioxide colour and opacify the shell, which is why the capsule is a solid red; cellulose bulks the fill; magnesium stearate keeps powder moving through the filling machine; silica keeps it from clumping. None of them is part of the 1,600 mg blend.
How to use it
The directions printed on the card are to take one capsule 45 minutes prior to sexual activity. That is the whole of the timing guidance the manufacturer gives — there is no loading schedule and no second capsule.
