What it is

Rock On Power Berry is a liquid dietary supplement for adult men, sold as a single 2 fl oz (60 mL) bottle. The bottle is a slim silver shot bottle with a foil-sealed screw cap, printed on the front with the blue Rock On diamond mark and, around the cap collar, the words “Wild Berry”. The Supplement Facts panel on the back gives the serving size as the whole 2 fl oz bottle — one bottle, one serving, nothing to measure out. It is distributed by Rock’N Products, and the packaging is marked “Made in the USA”.

This is a drink, not a capsule. It sits alongside the tablets and capsules in our men’s enhancement range as the option for people who would rather not swallow a pill, and for anyone who wants the whole serving in one go rather than counting out doses.

What’s inside

The formula has two layers: a group of B vitamins and electrolyte minerals listed individually on the panel, and a proprietary herbal and amino-acid blend listed by name only. Amounts are printed on the bottle’s own panel. We have set out the ingredient names below and no figures, because we reproduce only what we can read directly from the packaging in front of us.

The individually listed nutrients on the panel are:

  • Thiamin (as thiamine mononitrate) and riboflavin (as riboflavin-5-phosphate) — two of the eight B vitamins, both routine additions to functional drinks.
  • Niacin — vitamin B3, which the body also obtains from meat, fish, wholegrains and legumes. The NIH Office of Dietary Supplements niacin fact sheet gives general background on the vitamin.
  • Vitamin B6 (as pyridoxine hydrochloride) and vitamin B12 (as cyanocobalamin) — B12 is the form most often used in drink shots; the NIH fact sheet on vitamin B12 covers what it is and where it normally comes from in the diet.
  • Sodium (as sodium citrate) and potassium (as potassium citrate) — the two electrolytes the packaging refers to, in their citrate salt forms.

The proprietary blend is printed as a run of ingredient names rather than a broken-out list, which is normal for this style of product and means the manufacturer does not disclose how much of each one goes into the bottle. The names legible on the panel include:

  • L-arginine hydrochloride — an amino acid found in everyday foods such as nuts, seeds, fish and dairy, and one of the most common ingredients in men’s drink formulas.
  • Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) — an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body and is also sold on its own as a supplement ingredient.
  • Maca root extract — maca is a root vegetable in the brassica family, grown at high altitude in the Peruvian Andes and eaten there as a food long before anyone dried it and sold it as an extract.
  • Catuaba bark extract and muira puama bark extract — two Brazilian tree barks with a long history in traditional Amazonian preparations.
  • Eurycoma longifolia — a Southeast Asian shrub, more often sold under the Malay name tongkat ali.
  • Berry extract and caffeine — the berry note behind the flavor, and a stimulant worth counting against the rest of the day’s coffee and tea.

For neutral background on how botanical ingredients of this kind are regulated and studied, the NIH publishes a plain-language overview of botanical dietary supplements. It describes the category in general and says nothing about this particular product.

How to use it

The directions printed on the packaging are to drink one bottle 45 minutes to one hour beforehand. There is nothing to mix, dilute or chill.

Two printed limits are worth reading before you break the seal. The packaging states plainly: do not use more than two bottles in one day. And once a bottle is opened, the instruction is to use or discard any remaining liquid within 24 hours — the foil seal is the only closure protecting the contents, and it does not go back on. Unopened, store the bottle in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. No refrigeration is called for.

Who it’s for

Adults 18 and over, and men specifically — the printed warning excludes children and geriatric patients. It suits someone who wants a single-serving format rather than a bottle of capsules to keep track of, and someone who does not mind a stimulant, since caffeine is named in the blend. If you are caffeine-sensitive, avoid it late in the day, or look at the caffeine-free options in our men’s supplements section instead.

It is not a medicine and it is not a substitute for one. If something has changed about your health, that is a conversation for a doctor rather than a shopping decision.

Good to know

The bottle carries a substantial printed warning, and it is worth setting out in full rather than summarising away. The label states: do not use this product if you are at risk of, or being treated for, high blood pressure, heart, kidney, thyroid or psychiatric disease, anxiety, depression, seizure disorder or stroke. Consult your healthcare professional before use if you are taking antidepressants, an MAO inhibitor, or any prescription drug. Not for use with children or geriatric patients. Discontinue use and consult your healthcare professional if dizziness, sleeplessness, nervousness, tremors, headache or heart palpitations occur.

The packaging also carries an allergen note: the product is made in a facility that also handles milk, egg, soy, wheat, tree nuts and peanuts. Keep it out of reach of children. The NCCIH page on dietary and herbal supplement safety is a sensible starting point if you take prescription medication and are unsure how a supplement sits alongside it.

Orders leave us in plain outer packaging that names neither the contents nor Gear Isle, and an order placed on a business day goes out the next one. If it turns out not to suit you, our returns policy sets out how to send it back.

Frequently asked questions

How much liquid is in the bottle?

Two fluid ounces — 60 mL. The Supplement Facts panel gives the serving size as the full 2 fl oz bottle, so one bottle is a single serving and there is nothing to measure.

Does it contain caffeine?

Yes. Caffeine is named in the proprietary blend on the bottle’s panel. The amount is not broken out separately, so if you are sensitive to stimulants, or already drinking coffee, tea or energy drinks that day, count this as one more caffeine source and plan accordingly.

When am I supposed to drink it?

The printed directions say to take one bottle 45 minutes to one hour beforehand. The packaging also sets a ceiling of no more than two bottles in a single day.

Does it need to be refrigerated?

No. Store the sealed bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once it is opened, the instruction printed on the packaging is to use or discard the remaining liquid within 24 hours.

What flavor is it?

Wild berry, as printed around the cap collar. It is a sweetened berry-flavored liquid rather than a neutral one, which is the usual reason people pick a shot over a capsule.

Can women use it?

The packaging labels this bottle for men and the warning on the back does not address use by women, so we cannot answer that from the label. Anyone unsure whether a supplement is appropriate for them should ask a healthcare professional before use.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Dietary supplement for adults 18 and over. Consult a licensed healthcare professional before use, especially if you have a medical condition, heart concerns, or take prescription medication (including nitrates). Keep out of reach of children.
