What Vita Plus is

• Fructose — the simple sugar found naturally in fruit and honey. It is the only non-botanical entry on the list, and the nutrition panel below shows where it lands: 1.42 g of carbohydrate per sachet, of which 0.16 g is counted as total sugars.

Nutrition information, as printed

This carton carries a food-style Nutrition Information panel rather than a Supplement Facts panel, giving figures both per 100 g of powder and per 2.5 gm serving. Transcribed exactly:

One thing worth saying about that table: the two columns agree with each other. A 2.5 gm serving is one fortieth of 100 g, and every per-serving figure is the per-100 g figure divided by forty, to the rounding you would expect — 446 kcal becomes 11.15 kcal, 56.6 g becomes 1.42 g, 6.2 g becomes 0.16 g. A panel whose own arithmetic holds up is a small but real sign that the numbers were calculated rather than decorated.
