• Cherokee Rose, 26 mg — the fruit of Rosa laevigata, a scrambling white-flowered rose native to southern China and long naturalised in the American South, where it picked up its common name. The hips are the part used.
• Cnidium, 26 mg — the small ribbed fruit of Cnidium monnieri, another member of the carrot family, known in Chinese herbal practice as she chuang zi.
• Flat-Stem Milkvetch, 26 mg — the seed of Astragalus complanatus, a low sprawling relative of the astragalus higher up this list. Despite the shared genus it counts as a separate item in Chinese herbalism, where it is called sha yuan zi.
• Ligustrum, 26 mg — the ripe blue-black berry of the glossy privet, Ligustrum lucidum, an evergreen tree widely planted as a street ornamental. The dried fruit is nu zhen zi.
• Schizandra, 26 mg — the berry of Schisandra chinensis, a woody climbing vine of Chinese and Russian forests. Its Chinese name, wu wei zi, means "five-flavour berry", after the sour, sweet, salty, bitter and pungent notes said to be present in a single dried fruit.

Two things about the panel are worth knowing before you buy. The ten listed amounts add up to 1,944.4 mg of the stated 2800 mg serving, and the card does not say what makes up the remaining 855.6 mg. There is also no "Other Ingredients" line anywhere on the packaging, so the capsule shell material and any carrier or flow agent are not disclosed.
