• Capsule shell (gelatin) — the shell material, named outright. Gelatin is collagen rendered from animal tissue, so this capsule is neither vegetarian nor vegan.
• Citrulline — an amino acid the body already produces for itself in the urea cycle. In food it concentrates in the cucurbits: melon flesh, melon rind, cucumber, squash.
• Horny goat weed — the everyday English name for Epimedium, a genus of shade-loving woodland perennials that nurseries sell as barrenwort. Its leaf has a long history in East Asian herbal traditions.
• Yohimbe — bark harvested from Pausinystalia johimbe, an evergreen of West and Central African forest. Of everything named on this pack, it is the entry with the most safety literature behind it. • Pomegranate — Punica granatum, the leathery-skinned fruit full of seed arils, included as an extract.
• L-arginine — one of the twenty protein-building amino acids. Ordinary food supplies it in quantity: pumpkin seeds, peanuts, soy, turkey, hard cheese.
• Tongkat ali extract — from the root of Eurycoma longifolia, a slim understorey tree of Malaysian and Indonesian rainforest. Longjack is the other name it trades under.
• Proprietary plant extract blend — undisclosed. No constituent plants are named for it and no weight is given, and we will not invent either on a manufacturer's behalf.
