Of the itemised eleven, the three largest are L-arginine at 210 mg, lycopene at 200 mg and Tribulus terrestris at 160 mg. L-arginine is an amino acid found in everyday foods such as nuts, seeds and poultry, and it is a common inclusion in men's supplement formulas. Lycopene is the red carotenoid pigment that gives tomatoes and watermelon their colour. Tribulus terrestris is a low-growing plant used in Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese preparations.

What's in the "for her" capsule

The "for her" panel is fully itemised: twelve botanical and amino-acid components, each with its own milligram figure and no proprietary blend at all. Nothing on this half of the formula is hidden behind a blend name. The panel itself gives the serving as one capsule without printing a total weight, but the twelve amounts add up to 1,750 mg, which matches the 1750 figure printed on the front of the card.

Maca root leads the list at 280 mg. Maca is a root crop grown at high altitude in the Peruvian Andes and eaten there as a food as well as taken as a supplement. Four ingredients sit level at 180 mg each: damiana leaf, a shrub from Central America; horny goat weed, the common name for Epimedium, a flowering plant long used in Chinese herbal preparations; yohimbe again; and ginseng root, which is described in the NCCIH overview of Asian ginseng.
